Text Box: Spring is one of our favorite times at Applemeadow!
Text Box:       We fell in love with the labrador breed over 20 years ago with the help of a big loveable black lab.  "Bill" named after Prince William, minded our children in their baby buggies and sat patiently as they crawled over him while learning to crawl and walk.  He was so kind and gentle that he became quite a legend.  Even today, visitors talk fondly about him.
Our home is located in the heart of the prime agricultural district of Oxford County, Southwestern Ontario.  Surrounded by the spacious green areas our pastures proved, our family and extended dog family have plenty of room to walk, run and play, through the green meadows of our 60+ acres.  For most of 100 years the property was primarily apples (VandenBorre Orchards) but the last several years we have been transitioning into Organic Farming with a more mixed farm approach. The name "Applemeadow Labradors, was a natural choice for our kennel and it will also be the name of our Organic Venture.  Carrying on the Apple theme all of our personal dog friends boast names of Apple Varieties. Some you may recognize and others which are more heritage in origin.  New puppy owners of course are welcome to choose their own names!
Our dogs are certified by OVC and/or PennHIP and we maintain annual CERF eye examinations.  New puppy owners recieve a written guarantee, full puppy package and on-going support.  We would be glad to supply references upon request. Stud dogs are chosen to compliment her personality, temperament, and body structure, therefore enhancing the labrador breed overall.  Our prime concern is to produce puppies which are structurally sound with excellent temperament.  Beauty, obedience and confirmation championships are just added bonuses for our girls!
